About

Oh, wow! I am the food, I am the eater of the food.

My name is Suncica, I am originally Croatian with a permanent address in Bali. I am a mother, a dancer, dance teacher, writer, student of yoga and vipassana, strategy management consultant and sustainability entrepreneur.

Welcome to Unravel Ninja – a platform for structuring my thoughts and unravelling my understanding of reality.

Unravel Ninja is one manifestation of two principles that drive my life – creation and expansion. Those two impulses constitute basic nature of my essence and the space in which I find content and purpose.

Creation stands for dancing and writing – my channels of self-expression. Expansion stands for yoga and motherhood – my tools for personal growth and development.

Before initiating this blog, I have lived many lives. As a professional contemporary dancer, I have been working with my body ever since I remember. Later this passion evolved towards committing to the path of yoga, starting with asana practice and gradually expanding towards pranayama, yoga philosophy, ayurveda and vipassana. I have been studying the mindbody and the nature of reality through the yogic framework for more then 10 years. Apart from dancing, another channel of expression I am very passionate about is writing. I am an author for digital media and a writer of my own creations – stories, poems and messages.

For the past 10 years I have been also building a strong corporate career – from trading on financial markets to top tier strategy management consulting. I am also a co-founder of a sustainability lab that aims for systemic impact in fighting climate change.

However, the biggest achievement of my life was stepping into motherhood – a transition that was was quite unexpected and somewhat peculiar. I found out I was pregnant on a business flight from London to Dubai, where I was working for an oil refinery. At that moment I realized how we are never really in control of our lives – and how astonishing and wonderful that can be if we just let go. This is the space where real magic happens and where life surprises us with most extraordinary experiences. My pregnancy kicked-off my transformation, as it was the crystallization of all the work I have been doing up to that point and a portal into a new reality.

What was once thought as unattainable, now becomes attainable within reach. What was once in your hopes and dreams, now becomes a possible reality. I finally felt I have arrived to the destination, and the destination is here and now. However, a certain work is required to be able to unlock the mind-made barriers to this destination. In order to truly be the women and the mother I wanted to be, I had to let go of a big part of my identity – I had to unravel my ego. And the ego is tricky – the more we unravel, the more cunning it becomes – so in order to keep unravelling, we have to do become a ninja – silent, swift, unpredictable and prepared for our enemy.

I train my ninja through creating and expanding. Creation nurtures the being and expansion strengthens it. Hence I hope this space will serve you and your ninja in a way it does us. May you live long and prosper and find joy, beauty and harmony in your lives.
